Chris Salinas
vocals

Chris was born in 1972, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He has been singing since he was young, having come to the conclusion at age six, that "Hey..I think I can sing!". He believes that he got his vocal talents from his mother, who has a wonderful voice and sings in a church choir. Chris feels that he owes his desire to become a "Rock Star" to his brother Eddy, and the band Kiss. His experience with the bands Hirizon and Surveillance have given him the experience he needs to tackle a band like Power of Omens, and have given him the opportunity to achieve new levels of musicianship. For Chris, the band Queensrche was a real eye and ear opener, and Geoff Tate has been a major influence in Chris' singing (a fact which is impressively obvious upon hearing Chris sing). Chris has strong, positive feelings about the future of Power of Omens, feeling that the group has the potential to accomplish its dreams. He currently lives and works in San Antonio, and feels fortunate to be surrounded by his wonderful family, and supporting friends.
